Benefits of Chamomile Oil

Chamomile Essential Oil has been used for medical purposes since the time of ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. For more than 1000 years it helps people worldwide with various problems and it is beneficial in mood enhancement, muscle cramps, healing of skin lesions and treating mild infections. There are two types of chamomile oil – one is made from German flowers and the other one from Roman chamomile flowers.

German chamomile is called Matricaria chamomilla and Roman is known as Anthemis nobilis.

Both oils have similar benefits and effects and are among the best ways to improve the overall health condition.

Roman chamomile due to alpha and beta pinene has a stronger calming effect.

German chamomile is a potent anti-inflammatory agent, thanks to azulene, which is credited with the recognizable blue color of the oil.
